Jurga’s new radio single released in France

One of Lithuania’s leading pop singers, Jurga presents her latest song Running which is her first radio single this year. Recorded in the recent Jurga’s session, the song was first played in her solo concert in November, last year as well as performed at this year’s Radiocentras music awards show.

Starting with this week, the Running song is available for the French as it has been included in the Carnet De Vol Escale 1# music compilation distributed in France. Her latest radio single has reached Latvian, Estonian, Hungarian radio stations and will be aired in minor radio stations and internet radio in Germany and the USA.
Music critics and experts define the sound of Running as the most international Jurga’s work so far. The song is likely to become Jurga’s biggest hit since the release of 5th Season, which contributed most to Jurga’s victories in the MTV Awards in Germany as well as the Baltic Song Gestival in Sweden.

According to Jurga, Running is about what is going on around us. "This song’s about the mind and time prevailing over emotions. It’s about the modern man unable to catch up with the pace set by himself, forgetting the things that lead him ahead," - the singer said.

The song was produced by Mario Basanov, who collaborated with Jurga on her previous hits 5th Season, Smėlio Žmonės, Tyliai. The song Running is going to be on Jurga’s third studio album that is due in autum, this year. The singer is now busy recording songs for her third studio album, due this autum, which is definitely going to feature Running.

Jurga’s previous album Instrukcija was released in April 2007. Both the album and the promoting CD singles 5th Season and Sandman’s Child have sold 21,000 copies whereas Jurga’s debut album Aukso Pieva, including its special release featuring notes and chords of the songs, has sold nearly 25,000 copies.
This summer Jurga plans on giving only exclusive appearances in festivals as she is focusing on studio work on the coming album. In June her fans will be able to see the singer performing with the band in the Be2gether music and arts festival in Norviliškės.
