Jurga:

- On January 4th newly released radio single by Jurga, the title song of the debut album “Aukso Pieva”, reached radio stations. This song was first offered to radio stations in March 2005 but it did not attract major attention then. When presented to radio stations for the second time “Aukso Pieva” was received very well. The song sealed Jurga’s success in the radio charts by reaching No. 3 in both prestigious Lithuanian charts - M-1 Top 40 and “Radiocentras” Lithuanian Top 20. The song stayed on the list of forty most popular songs of M-1 until the middle of June. At the end of the year “Aukso Pieva” became the most popular Lithuanian song at radio station M-1 and took the sixth position in Top 100 of 2006.

- In January song “Nebijok” was released in the compilation album “Radiocentras – Best Songs 2005”.

- At “Pravda” Awards in January 20th Jurga was awarded prizes for the best song of a debut singer and the best musical debut. At the earlier announced “Ore” Awards Jurga won in the categories of the best Lithuanian song (“Nebijok”) and the best debut.

- On January 24th it was announced that debut album by Jurga “Aukso Pieva” became a golden album. During four months 10,000 fans purchased this album.

- At “Radiocentras” awards on January 28th Jurga won in all the categories she was nominated – the best song (“Nebijok”), the best album (“Aukso Pieva”) and the best female singer. For the first time in the history of “Radiocentras” awards three awards were won in one evening by a debutante. The singer who became the prime star of the evening performed a special version of her debut hit “Nebijok”.

- On February 25th Jurga triumphed at “Bravo” music awards at the Congress Palace in Vilnius by winning in the categories of the best debut, best album (“Aukso Pieva”) and best female singer. “Where words end, music starts”, said Jurga after acknowledging that the “Bravo” award was a surprise for her.

- On March 31st an official website of Jurga www.jurgamusic.com was launched. English version of her song “Aukso Pieva” under the title “All I Have” was first presented on the website. In the beginning of the year this song was also played by Latvian radio stations.

- At JP music awards on April 16th Jurga became the winner in the categories of the best female singer and the best song (“Nebijok”); she was also awarded the prize “The Voice of the Nation”.

- On May 23rd, the fourth radio single of the album “Aukso Pieva” was released – song “Galbut”. According to Jurga, this song best describes how she feels in this world. The song reached No. 5 position at “Radiocentras” “Lithuanian Top 20”, No. 6 at M-1 Top 40 and climbed to the first position at the radio station FM99. At the time the song “Galbut” appeared on the radio stations, more than 15,000 copies of the album “Aukso Pieva” were sold. At the end of the year this song was at No. 52 in the list of most popular songs of 2006 on M-1.

- On May 25th Jurga performed for the participants and professionals of the Baltic Music Industry Conference at the club “Kalku Varti” in Riga.

- In June, Jurga’s official website www.jurgamusic.com was awarded at the yearly Lithuanian www championship. Website launched merely a couple of months ago received an award of the organisers of the championship as the best site in the category of personal websites.

- In June, song “Galbut” was released in the compilation “Paneles hitai”.

- On July 11th, Jurga’s album “Aukso Pieva” was licensed in the popular websites “Amazon”, “iTunes Music Store”, “Napster”, “eMusic”, “Virgin Mega”, “Sony Connect” and others. Jurga’s songs became available for purchasing in any country of the world.

- On July 29th in Palanga Jurga was awarded an award of “Baltic Optical Disc” for the platinum album. Jurga performed her songs “Galbut” and “As Esu Tiktai Jei Tu Esi” at the event.

- In August, Jurga decided not to continue her work as a TV presenter in the new season of LTV, where she had been hosting show “Lithuanian Top 10 Songs” for last three years, and focus on her musical activities.

- On September 22nd, at the “Forum Palace” in Vilnius Jurga gave a special concert presenting her album “Aukso Pieva”, which was the biggest concert in her career. Although tickets to the performance at “Forum Palace” were expensive, the audience exceeded one thousand listeners, and they asked Jurga and her band to come out twice. At this one-an-a-half-hour concert Jurga performed several new songs. Seven musicians performed on the stage – for this gig Jurga’s band was supplemented by percussion and backing singer. “Presentation of my album “Aukso Pieva” and this concert were the most important things that happened in my musical career during the past years “, said Jurga.

- On October 6th, together with guitarist Romas Rainys Jurga presented special acoustic program in the club “Siena” in Kaunas. Tickets to this concert were sold within hours a month in advance. An additional concert was announced at “Siena” for November 10. Tickets to this gig disappeared within a record time - 25 minutes.

- On October 9th, the fifth and the last radio single of the debut album “Aukso Pieva” was released – “As Esu Tiktai Jei Tu Esi”. Three different versions of this song were recorded: radio version, album version, internet version. Those who were at her concerts could also hear two live versions of the song “As Esu Tiktai Jei Tu Esi” – with the whole band and acoustic version with a guitar. “As Esu Tiktai Jei Tu Esi” climbed to No. 6 at “Radiocentras” “Lithuanian Top 20”, No. 7 at M-1 Top 40 and No. 1 at the radio station FM99. After presenting her newest single “As Esu Tiktai Jei Tu Esi” Jurga focused on writing and recording new songs. At the end of the year “As Esu Tiktai Jei Tu Esi” was at No. 56 in the list of the most popular songs of 2006 on M-1.

- On October 17th Jurga performed at the gala concert held on the occasion of the Visit of Queen Elisabeth II of Great Britain in Vilnius in the Town Hall square.

- Jurga recorded the main theme for the film “3001 Kosmine Odiseja” first shown in October at the festival AXX. In December this track was also presented on the website www.jurgamusic.com.

- On November 18th, at the international children’s dance festival held at the shopping centre “Europa” Jurga performed two compositions: “Nebijok” and “Saule Vandeny”. To these songs, the participants of the festival performed a dance simultaneously on all the three floors of the shopping centre.

- On November 30th it was announced that following her two successful concerts in Kaunas, in December Jurga would present her acoustic song program in other towns as well, i.e. in Vilnius, Palanga and Druskininkai. During 2006, Jurga had 67 concerts and appearances in total.
